Before You Begin

To set up Trustpilot with Mention Me, you need access to the Trustpilot API. This is only accessible on the Enterprise Plan or as a Connect add-on module on Premium or Advanced Plans. Find out more about Trustpilot plans.
If you run multiple Mention Me merchant accounts (for example separate accounts per brand or region), this integration must be set up individually on each merchant account. There is no way to copy or bulk-apply a Trustpilot integration across accounts, so repeat both steps below for every merchant account that needs it.

Step 1 - Create Authentication in Trustpilot

1

Navigate to API settings

In your account page, go to Integrations > Developers and click APIs.

2

Create an application

Create an application with the following details:
  • Application Name: Mentionme (or any name you prefer, see note below)
  • Redirect URLs:
Put each URL on a new line without commas.

The Application Name is just a label for your own reference in your Trustpilot developer console. Trustpilot doesn’t validate it against anything on Mention Me’s side, so you can rename it (for example to match a specific brand or merchant account) if it helps you tell multiple applications apart. The Redirect URLs above are fixed and required regardless of what you name the application.
3

Save the application

Press Create Application to save.
4

Get the API key and Secret

Scroll down to your newly created Mentionme application in the “Your applications” section. Click the arrow on the right to reveal your credentials.

  • Right-click anywhere on your review page and select View Source
  • Search for the text BusinessUnitID
