If you’re moving Mention Me tags from one platform or website to another, follow this checklist to ensure your integration works as expected.

Tags

During initial onboarding, you implemented tags across your current platform. All implemented tags must be moved to your new platform:
  • Landing page
  • Referee tag
  • Referrer tag
  • Dashboard
If you have additional promotional points across your website, the Support Team can help identify them. Integration instructions by platform:

Vouchers

If you can transfer your vouchers during replatforming and don’t need to change anything, no changes are needed in the platform. If previous voucher codes won’t work on your new website, all codes will need to be replaced. Use the self-serve process: Contact the Mention Me support team if you need help with replacement codes.

Order Management

Order IDs

The Mention Me platform considers two orders with the same ID as identical duplicates, regardless of when the order happens, the amount, or who placed it. Duplicates are ignored. If your new platform uses a different order ID format (e.g., old: 1001, new: uk123), no further steps are needed. If your new platform uses the same numbering format or IDs could eventually overlap, create a prefix or suffix for new Order IDs in the tags/SFTP feeds:
  • O1001, O1002, O1003
  • 1001N, 1002N, 1003N
This is essential to ensure orders are tracked with no risk of lost data.

Missed Order upload

If there is any period where order data is not being passed via the postpurchase/order tag, complete an order upload to account for missing data. Add a copy of all missed orders to your Secure File Transfer, then create a Support Request asking for “Help with Tech”, referencing the file name and that you need help with missed orders during replatforming. Use How to create a historical order upload document as a guide for the correct format.
