Why vetting matters
Not everyone who purchases your product is the right fit to become an influencer. Mention Me runs an automated vetting process to assess whether an outreach email is worthwhile, using a combination of AI-driven checks and human oversight. The quality of the AI vetting is benchmarked with human review. This “human in the loop” approach helps fine-tune the process, build robust test datasets, and catch errors before they reach you. You can also manually review influencer feeds in the platform and reject profiles directly, providing feedback that continuously improves recommendations.How suitability is assessed
The vetting process draws from three categories of data:Brand profile
AI-generated during onboarding and reviewable at any time in the Influencer settings. Includes:- Brand purpose
- Core values
- Tone of voice
- Visual identity
- Product categories and range
Exclusion criteria
Set during onboarding and customisable for your brand:- Political, social, or ethical sensitivities
- High-risk content themes
- Profile type misalignment
- Content themes and visual style
Influencer profile
Key factors analysed for each potential influencer:- Influencer handle
- Bio and location
- Follower count
- Engagement rate
- Hashtags used
- Audience locations
- Popular and recent content
Programme-level suitability filters
You can set further filters at the programme level to refine influencer selection:- Age range
- Minimum follower count
- Minimum engagement rate
- Activity (influencers must be active within the last 180 days, by default)
- Location (by country)
- Language
How scoring and suggestions work
These data points are weighted to assess each influencer’s suitability. The Suggested tab displays influencers ranked by alignment with your brand’s preferences and content fit. Hover over the fit label on any suggested influencer to see detailed suitability reasons. Influencers who are also existing customers receive special consideration.
Managing exclusions
Any influencer who fails to meet your exclusion criteria is automatically disqualified and will not be suggested. Review all disqualified profiles in the Disqualified tab.
