The uniqueness of Mention Me’s lookalike (LAL) identification process comes from how profiles are sourced and assessed before being recommended.

Sourcing influencers via third-party tools

Mention Me uses a third-party tooling library to find potential influencers. This library provides detailed information about each influencer, as well as a list of influencers who are similar to them. Similarity is based on factors such as the topics they post about and their audience demographics.

Determining suitable lookalike influencers

To define which LAL influencers are suitable for your brand, Mention Me follows a multi-step process:
  • The vetting system determines which influencers are best suited for your brand.
  • The list of similar influencers provided by the third-party tools is reviewed.
  • All potential LAL influencers are rigorously vetted — checking their follower profile, engagement rate, brand content alignment, and reviewing their profile against exclusion criteria.
  • Only suitable profiles are suggested for outreach.

Blending organic and sourced lookalikes

This process identifies LAL profiles not only from influencers sourced directly from your customer base, but also from good matches who register for your programme organically and are similar to other LALs.
