A customer’s name and their short link are both editable on the profile. Use this when a customer asks for a personalised share URL, or when their name is wrong on file.

Edit the name

Open the profile

Find the customer via the Customers list and open their profile.

Hover the name in the side panel

The pencil icon appears next to the name when you hover. Click it.

Update and save

Edit the First name and Surname fields, then save. The change applies immediately.

A customer’s short link is the personalised URL that goes out on their share emails and social posts. It defaults to a random suffix.

Hover the short link in the side panel

The pencil icon appears next to the short link when you hover. Click it.

Type the new suffix

Only the suffix is editable. The domain is fixed.

Save

The new short link applies to all future shares. Old links that have already been sent out continue to work.
Short links must be unique within your account. If you pick a suffix that’s already in use, Mention Me rejects the change and asks for a different one.

Email address

Email addresses can’t be changed from the profile. If a customer signed up with the wrong email, ask them to sign up again with the correct one, or enrol them manually using the right address.
