Early access. Importing existing customers from Shopify is available when the Shopify backfill feature is on for your account. If you only see Upload a CSV, this is not on yet.
Use this when a Shopify store is already connected and you want Mention Me to treat existing buyers as known customers, without a CSV. The import runs in the background from Settings > Uploads.

Before You Start

  • At least one Shopify store is connected
  • You are a merchant admin
  • You know how far back you want to import. Last year is the recommended default
If you have several stores, you pick which ones to include before you start.

Start the Import

Open a New Upload

Go to Settings > Uploads and click New upload. Choose Existing customers.

Choose Import from Shopify

Switch the source from Upload a CSV to Import from Shopify.

Pick Stores, If You Have More Than One

If several stores are connected, tick the ones to import from. A single connected store is used automatically.

Set the Order-Date Window

Choose how far back to look at orders:

Start the Import

Confirm and start. The job runs in the background. You can leave the page.

Watch Previous Imports

The Previous imports list on the same page shows each run: store, order-date window, status, and counts. Filter by All, Processing, Complete, or Failed, and refresh if a run is still going.

Common Issues

This is early access. If the source toggle is missing, the feature is not on for your account, or no Shopify store is connected yet.
Large stores take a while. Leave it running and refresh the list later. If it fails, check the row and try again with a shorter window.
Start another import with the dates you need. Previous runs stay in the list; they are not undone.
