# Coupon Reminder Journey in Attentive
> Activate the prebuilt Attentive journey to remind referrers to use their Mention Me coupon codes via SMS.
## About the prebuilt journey
With this **prebuilt Attentive journey**, you can remind your existing customers to use the coupon codes they received after successfully referring a friend to your brand.
This helps increase repeat purchase rates by prompting referrers to redeem their reward.
This does not replace the initial reward email that Mention Me sends to the customer upon a successful referral. This journey is an additional touchpoint to boost re-engagement.
## Basic workflow
1. A customer receives a coupon via SMS after referring a friend.
2. If they haven't made a purchase, another SMS will remind them of their coupon code.
Reminders are sent at strategic intervals to encourage redemption.
## Activating the journey
### Prerequisites
* An active Mention Me referral program
* An active Attentive account
* Mention Me / Attentive integration enabled
### Steps to activate
1. Log in to your [Attentive](https://ui.attentivemobile.com/home) account and navigate to *Journeys > Prebuilt Journeys*.
2. Select **Mention Me -- Coupon Reminder** journey to install.
3. **Received a Referrer Reward from Mention Me** is the pre-selected journey trigger.
4. Update wait periods to align with your coupon validity. Defaults are included.
5. Label each message for easy tracking.
6. Mention Me provides default message content with suggested personalisation variables. You can use these or write your own message.
If writing your own message, include the following variables:

Use the "Preview" option in Attentive to check your message before launch.
7. Activate the journey in Attentive.
