# Keyboard shortcuts

> Shortcuts for faster dashboard work.

Two shortcuts are available inside a dashboard. Both work on desktop only, on Mac and Windows. Browser focus needs to be on the dashboard, not in a text input or sidebar.

| Key | Action                 | Where     |
| --- | ---------------------- | --------- |
| `A` | Add a tile             | View mode |
| `E` | Enter edit layout mode | View mode |

Edit mode has its own shortcuts for saving and cancelling:

| Key     | Action                |
| ------- | --------------------- |
| `Enter` | Save layout changes   |
| `Esc`   | Cancel layout changes |

Shortcuts do not work on the dashboards list or inside the tile editor.
