# How to Activate Your First Campaign

> Launch your first campaign from the Onboarding Hub so referrers can start sharing. This is campaign launch, not Prepare to launch.

**Activate your first campaign** turns on the campaign you drafted so referrers can start sharing. This is **launch**, not [Prepare to launch](/knowledge-app/onboarding/understanding-prepare-and-launch). The launch checklist must already be open.

The row stays locked until these steps are complete:

* [Set up tracking](/knowledge-app/onboarding/set-up-tracking)
* [Add voucher codes](/knowledge-app/onboarding/add-voucher-codes)

    On the [Onboarding Hub](/knowledge-app/onboarding/overview), click **Activate your first campaign**. Mention Me opens that campaign in the editor, or the campaigns list if more than one applies.

  <Step title="Review the Draft">
    Check rewards, journeys and sharing. The launch wizard also lists optional improvements. Those are recommendations, not blockers.

  <Step title="Launch">
    Click **Launch** and work through the wizard. For a first campaign, choose **Launch now**.

    Confirm. The campaign goes live and the hub marks the step complete.

<Warning>
  If the version has unresolved errors, the wizard shows **Not ready to launch**
  and lists the issues. Fix each one, then launch again.
</Warning>

The hub also suggests reviewing your referral pages and sending yourself a test referral before you launch.
